As I was browsing, I came across these absolutely cute and awesome garden ideas! I HAD to share …Enjoy!

Happy New Year - 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Yippeee… a brand New Year! Did you doubt that you would see the dawn of 2013 after all the Rula Bula  about the Mayan calendar and the Dec 21st stuff?  Did I? Actually I never gave it a thought! Well, not exactly. Ok, I confess that I did give it a teeny weenie fleeting deliberation that I should know no fear or pain when the world ended ! That’s it!  Period.

Coming back to the New Year, I saw in the New Year at church where we were given a tiny card each, just before the bells pealed to herald the arrival of the New Year. On one side of the card, was a ‘Promise to Trust’ while  the other side contained the ‘Command to Obey’. We were allowed to read the card and be assured of God's promise to trust and His command to obey!

My ‘Promise to Trust’ contained the biblical verse – ‘With honey from the rock I would satisfy you’ Psalm 81:16

My “Command to Obey’ contained the following  verse from the Bible  –‘For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it’ James 2:10.This really is a tough one but I will wholeheartedly strive to obey this command.

Then followed  the most touching and heartening of all hymns …
‘Oh God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.'

God has been there to see us through the storms of life. For that reason, we can live with the hope that He will protect us in the present and and in the years to come as well ! No matter what "stormy blast" may be swirling around us, we should hold on to the promise of this hymn!

Back home , we had THE yummiest and THE scrumptious-est  New Year treat made by my sister, Shaila - Plum and Strawberry Galette! Yum Yum!

Here’s wishing you all a year full of happy days, beautiful moments, good health , peace ,prosperity and showers of blessings from above!

‘Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right!’   :)
